How Giving Works

Pollinators Foundation is managed with our partner LOHAS, which runs a fiscal sponsor program for charitable projects.

Four simple steps

You give

Choose a gift: cash, check, stock, a donor-advised fund grant or a foundation grant.

LOHAS receives it

Your gift goes to the fiscally sponsored fund, and you receive a receipt, usually by email.

We choose projects

The foundation recommends grants to pollinator and native plant projects.

Funds go to work

A third-party administrator pays grants and handles accounting, compliance and reporting.

Ways to give

  • Bank transfer (wire or ACH) or check
  • Grants from your donor-advised fund
  • Grants from your family or corporate foundation
  • Stock and other appreciated assets
  • Other assets with an established or appraisable value

Your advisor, donor-advised fund sponsor or family foundation can coordinate a gift directly with LOHAS.

About taxes. Gifts are made to a charitable program under a fiscal sponsor. Please ask your own tax advisor how a gift affects you.
